Children/Youth
We are committed to making a positive spiritual impact on the lives of our youth, and offer opportunities for their involvement.
- Sunday Nursery
The nursery provides parents a sense of freedom to worship God and learn about
Him on Sunday mornings during church. They also provide care during certain
additional church and outreach events.
- Children and Youth Sunday School
Classes tailored to the individual groups where a biblical foundation is laid.
- Wednesday Night Children's Church
During the prayer service, we offer a learning and activity time to bring the Bible to life for preschool (beginning with 3 year olds) through 6th grade children.
- Vacation Bible School
This one-week, 2-hour (6:30pm - 8:30pm) educational and fun experience for children ages Kindergarten through 8th grade
provides an opportunity to find out how incredibly important they are to God. Bible truths are taught through each day's fun activities, made interesting for and relevant to kids
in creative and exciting ways. We seek to help children understand God's love by helping them apply the Bible to their lives. Children are placed in small groups which stay together and where relationships are built.
- Lighthouse Youth Group
This youth group, which meets Thursday nights, is a group where teens, 13 - 18 years, gets to connect with others in a fun, high-energy environment,
during which issues relating to their lives are discussed and they are able to get God's perspective. Committed leaders work together with students
to guide them through the challenges of growing up in the modern world and help them to know the God who loves them.
Adult
We have an active adult congregation and offer different opportunities for participation in the life of the church.
- Men's Ministry
- Women's Ministry
This group meets to celebrate monthly birthdays and to be in the joy of fellowship with one another.
- Special Outreach (Women's Prison/Correctional Center at Fox Valley)
Biblical messages and worship are held for those who are unable to attend a church service.
Worship & Media
Our praise team serves an essential role in the worship experience for our congregation. Each week through music and song, they prompt the congregation to enter into the very presence of God in worship.
- Praise Team
The team is composed of piano, guitars, wind instruments and up to 5 vocalist.
- Audio-Visual Media Service
The audio-visual ministry is responsible for the sound, lighting, Power-Point displays and recording of our Sunday services.
Community
Cornerstone Church members reach out and serve one another within our church as well as our community, ministering to those who are ill, in need or in distress.
- Community Nursing Home Services
Biblical messages and worship are held in local nursing homes for those who are unable to attend a church service.
- Family Fun Night
A summer outreach program in which the families of our community are invited to share in an evening of a movie and popcorn
with the families of Cornerstone Church.
- Loaves and Fishes Pantry
